Blue/mauve lampwork bead necklace

Catherine moved to the Highlands in 2003 and is now living the life she has always dreamed of at the foot of the Cairngorm Mountains.

Over the past few years Catherine has established herself as a Designer and Jeweller and has experience of making high quality jewellery. She is based in Coylumbridge within the beauty of the Cairngorm National Park and draws inspiration from the exquisite ‘light’ and ‘colour’ of the area.

Using responsibly sourced semi-precious stones, gemstones, handmade lampwork beads and Sterling Silver, all of Catherine’s work is unique and she is always searching for something inspiring and out-of-the ordinary.

Catherine has recently designed her range of ‘wish cards’ (commissions are welcomed for weddings or special occasions) and they are currently on display in the gallery at Loch-an-Eilien and at The Pheonix at Findhorn.

Catherine also designs jewellery made from Vegetable Ivory which is made from the seed of a palm tree found in the Amazonian rain forest. It is a sustainable alternative to Elephant Ivory and yet the qualities are similar. Its use helps the economy of South America and provides an alternative to the cutting down of the rain forest. The use of this seed may also prevent elephants being killed for their tusks.

Catherine will be exhibiting and trading at various fairs this year.
