Chris Stuart
Photographer
Location: Inverness

Living in the Scottish Highlands I am reminded daily that this is an area with stunning scenery, fantastic light and an abundance of wildlife. Photography is a way of recording memories and it is perhaps a natural human instinct to want to share these with others. If enough people appreciate the beauty and benefits of the area then perhaps, together, we will ensure we protect the natural environment for the enjoyment of future generations.
I am entirely self taught and seek inspiration from what I see in the landscape, whether the larger view or the intimate detail. To be a photographer is to be a bit obsessive as it requires unsociable hours, many repeat visits to a location in search of quality light, and a relentless passion to obtain an image more striking than the last one. The learning process never stops but that is also part of the attraction.
When printing I use an Epson printer with Epson Ultrachrome K3 inks which will last a lifetime. When mounting photographs I use Nielsen Artcare mountboard which is archive quality and designed to actively protect artwork.
My photographs are available for sale as prints (unmounted, mounted or mounted and framed) or as greeting cards, or as an image file for other use.
