At this rural craft pottery, you can see pots hand thrown in terracotta by Penny Weir.

Penny specialises in domestic ware and glazes predominantly in blues and greens and a rich turquoise.  Many of the colours are reminiscent of the surrounding mountain landscape.  Glazes run loosely and merge, balancing the red earthenware body. The results are pots which are good to handle, practical to use and pleasing on the eye.

Please make an appointment to visit the pottery workshop which is open late March to late October. Open March – October, visits by appointment or chance,
‘throw your own’ Thursdays 10am-5pm.
